The City of Baldwyn requests proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for work related to an application for a Wastewater Improvements project with potential funding from federal and state agencies. The required scope of work includes, but is not limited to: preparing preliminary cost estimates and a preliminary engineering report; and, if the grant is awarded, preparing plans and specifications, distributing bid documents, assisting in bid opening and preparing bid tabulation, assisting in the execution of construction contracts, holding a preconstruction conference, and performing construction inspection including periodic reports to the City of Baldwyn and approval of all payment requests. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Proposal for Engineering Services." Proposals will be evaluated on qualifications (list of qualifications of persons to be assigned), experience (information regarding the firm's experience and previously undertaken projects, including grant history and status), and capacity for performance (identification of staff assigned to provide services). The contract will be awarded to the qualified individual or firm whose proposal is deemed most advantageous to the City of Baldwyn, considering price and other factors. The contract will be on a fixed price basis and may be terminated by the City at any time.
