Renovation of a fire / police facility in Bieber, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade fire / police facility.
Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to replace the roofing and siding on the CAL FIRE Bieber Station #5 Apparatus Building. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to replace the roofing and siding on the CAL FIRE Bieber Station #5 Apparatus Building. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is committed to meeting the State's 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), and contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of 25 percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified SBs or MBs (if applicable), encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 2, in this IFB for requirements. Goal Not Required Potential Bidders who attended the mandatory pre-bid walk-through may submit written questions regarding the bid by December 19, 2025. All questions should be emailed in writing to Derek.Fergason@fire.ca.gov. NO QUESTIONS will be entertained after December 19, 202 Technical questions regarding this solicitation will be addressed, in writing, and in accordance with the Questions and Answers portion of this IFB. See Section C, Item 1, Key Action Dates for more details. Derek Fergason Contract Analyst Contractor shall complete the following tasks for the Bieber Station #5 Apparatus Bay Roofing and Metal Siding Replacement project, in accordance with Attachment 3, Site Plans and Specifications, manufacturer recommendations and specifications, industry standards, and all applicable building codes. A. Demolition and Disposal of Existing Metal Roofing and T1-11 Type Siding Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing metal roofing and associated components, including but not limited to panels, fasteners, flashings, and underlayment, in an environmentally responsible manner, recycling where feasible and in compliance with local waste disposal laws, codes, regulations, and ordinances. 2) Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing wood siding and associated trim in an environmentally responsible manner, recycling where feasible and ensuring compliance with local waste disposal laws, codes, regulations, and ordinances, while ensuring no damage to underlying structure and protecting adjacent areas.
