The work involves the interior renovation of four grouped Boys and Girls restrooms, a staff toilet room, and water fountains. The scope of work includes slab demolition for replacing and relocating toilet fixtures and piping, replacing toilet partitions and accessories, updating finishes, ceilings, mechanical grilles, electrical and light fixtures, and providing code compliant interior graphics/branding elements at the restroom entrances and other work as indicated. The work is to be conducted in phases over the spring and summer of 2026. Single Prime Lump Sum Bids will be considered, and the project will be bid and awarded in accordance with relevant formal bidding procedures. Bidders must be licensed general contractors in North Carolina. Bidders are required to make good faith efforts to subcontract 10% of the contract value to businesses owned and controlled by minorities, including women, Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian-Pacific Americans, and Asian-Indian Americans. Information on each minority firm, including name, address, work description, and contract dollar value must be submitted with the bid, along with documentation of efforts to meet the participation goal. A bid failing to meet these requirements may be considered non-responsive. Bid security of 5% is required, and performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract are also required. Bids may not be withdrawn for 45 days after the due date. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bidding.
