Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Sylacauga, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,119-square-foot, two-story above grade stadium; for site work for a stadium; educational facility; and educational facility.
New Press Box and Concession Stand for Fayetteville High School. A Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Payable to Talladega County Board of Education in an Amount Not Less Than Five (5) Percent of the Amount of the Proposal, but in No Event More Than $10,000.00, Must Accompany the Bidder's Proposal for Each Project. Performance and Payment Bonds and Evidence of Insurance as Required in the Bid Documents Will Be Required at the Signing of the Contract. All Bidders Bidding in Amounts Exceeding That Established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors Must Be Licensed Under the Provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975. The Bidder Must Display Current General Contractor's License Number on the Outside of the Sealed Envelope in Which the Proposal is Delivered, or It Will Not Be Considered by the Architect or Owner. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Proposals and to Waive Technical Errors if, in the Owner's Judgment, the Best Interests of the Owner Will Thereby Be Promoted Project / Work Identification Project name is New Press Box and Concession Stand for Fayetteville High School A. General Description: 1. In general, the project shall consist of selective demolition and new construction including, but not limited to: Site work, new concrete block wall construction, with aluminum windows, standing seam roof on wood deck system, on engineered structural wood truss frame, paint finish, floor and wall finishes, plus plumbing, mechanical and electrical work, as required to perform the work under this Contract for Fayetteville High School and to properly join, connect and finish the new work to bring all to final, finished completion in first class manner ready for use by the Owner, all in strict accordance with Contract Documents including plans and specifications as prepared by Lathan Associates Architects, P. C., Hoover, Alabama; and shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for the proper completion of the building and other work as called for in the drawings and or specifications dated October 30, 2025. 2. The Base Bid shall include all work shown or specified. 3. See Section 01020 for Allowances. 4. It is the intent and requirement under this Contract to accomplish all demolition and preparation necessary to perform the Work under this Contract and to properly join, connect and finish the new work to bring all to final, finished completion in first class manner ready for use by Owner. EXPLANATIONS and INTERPRETATIONS: a. Should any bidder observe any ambiguity, discrepancy, omission, or error in the drawings and specifications, or in any other bid document, or be in doubt as to the intention and meaning of these documents, the bidder should immediately report such to the Architect and request clarification. b. Clarification will be made only by written Addenda sent to all prospective bidders. Neither the Architect nor the Awarding Authority will be responsible in any manner for verbal answers or instructions regarding intent or meaning of the Bid Documents. c. In the case of inconsistency between drawings and specifications or within either document, a bidder will be deemed to have included in its bid the better quality or greater quantity of the work involved unless the bidder asked for and obtained the Architect's written clarification of the requirements before submission of a bid.
