General work description: Remanufacture and upgrade of existing Rail Tamper for track maintenance. Deadline to Submit Questions: December 30, 2025, 4:00pm Questions Submit Online. Scope of Work 1. Disassembly and Inspection A) Complete disassembly of the switch tamper to inspect all components. B) Assessment of components: Identify parts for repair, refurbishment, or replacement. Key areas include: C) Frame, hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, engine, drivetrain, and tamping heads. D) Prepare a repair vs. replace report based on inspection results. 2. Structural Modifications and Addition of Torsion Beam A) Chassis and Frame Repairs: Identify and repair any structural damage, including cracked or corroded sections. B) Installation of Torsion Beam: C) Design and fabricate the torsion beam to enhance load distribution and reduce frame twisting under heavy loads. D) Reinforce connection points on the frame to accommodate the added torsion beam. E) Test for balance and stability after installation to ensure alignment with upgraded model specifications. 3. Hydraulic and Pneumatic System Overhaul A) Hydraulic System: B) Replace worn hoses, seals, and hydraulic pumps as required
