The Project generally involves developing land on Race Street, which will allow for the future construction of a park at the site. Project elements may include demolition of an existing vacant 1,100 SF building, foundation, and trash enclosure; hazardous materials abatement; disposal of hazardous and nonhazardous waste material, capping the existing water and sewer service at the site, and surface grading. Each bid must be accompanied by an electronic pdf copy of a bidder's bond in the sum of not less than 10% of the total aggregate amount of the bid. Bonds must be issued by a surety that is an "admitted surety insurer" in the State of California and must name the City of San Jose as beneficiary.
