Econolodge Stone Ave Youth Transitional Housing project will consist of exterior and interior improvements to the site. The building has 50 rooms and is being remodeled from a single room into a studio kitchenette. All the major systems to include but not limited to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural will be replaced or modified for safety and to meet current code. The exterior will be landscaped with GSI practices for water harvesting and areas for the community to gather and grow. This site will become low-income transitional housing for youth. This site is a historic hotel that is being converted into transitional housing. It will need to keep the exterior in place to maintain the historic designation and has gone through the process to have the scope of work approved by the local authorities. Scope includes complete replacement of the plumbing and electrical systems and distribution throughout the entire building. All HVAC units shall be replaced along with kitchenette's constructed for each apartment. The asphalt in the parking lot and the subgrade below shall be replaced. Pool shall be removed along with the associated plumbing. All interior spaces will require drywall installation and new finishes.
