The work to be accomplished under this contract generally includes: full depth pavement removal and replacement with concrete and asphalt per plan, providing a roadway diet with a 10' wide travel lane in each direction and an 8' dedicated parking lane with permeable pavers for storm water treatment/control, curb bump outs to reduce pedestrian crossing lengths, new curbs and curb drains, new traffic signal at Athens, accessible pedestrian signals and leading pedestrian interval at all intersections, RRHB crosswalk at Merl/Bunts park and south of the railroad tracks, west side 10' wide shared-use path, replacement of east sidewalks, ADA curb ramp replacements, apron replacement, watermain replacement with exception to section between Madison to Detroit, replacement of all lead or galvanized water service connections, Consent Decree required sewer improvements including manhole separations from Madison Avenue to Clifton Boulevard, combination and sanitary sewer main Cured-In-Place pipe lining, replacement of all sewer laterals and cleanouts, installation of new storm sewer system with catch basins, streetlight replacement with LED style lamps, tree removal and replacement, utility coordination, boring beneath railroad tracks for watermain and storm sewer main, Norfolk Southern coordination, utility pole removals, maintenance of traffic, removal and replacement of roadway signage, re-striping, erosion and sediment control, landscape restoration, and other appurtenances. Prime Contractor and subcontractors shall be ODOT prequalified to perform work within their respective work class categories. Prime Contractor is required to self perform a minimum of 30% of the contract work. Est. Completion Date: Oct. 1, 2028 Pre-Qualification: Yes Site Directions: Interstate 90 to W.140th/Bunts Road Exit, head north, project limits begin at Lakewood Heights Boulevard and end at Clifton Boulevard. Ground photography shall consist of color video taping of surface features taken along the entire length of the project and including all work and storage areas and 500' north, south, east and west of the project limits including and beyond the intersections of Lakewood Heights Boulevard, Athens, Madison, Franklin, Detroit, Merl and Clifton Boulevard. Prior to audio-video taping of the project, all areas to be inventoried shall be investigated visually with notations made of items not readily visible by taping methods. The scope of the work by RAILWAY shall include any necessary permitting, design, construction, and construction-related activities including, but not limited to, inspection and superintendence, within and along RAILWAY property necessary to facilitate LICENSEE's Proposed Work ("Railroad Project"). In the event the Facilities require RAILWAY to acquire right of way to continue its operations, LICENSEE shall be responsible for such acquisition, including costs therefor, and shall ensure such lands are deeded to RAILWAY as appropriate.
