General work description: The work associated with the base bid includes civil and signaling work at 15 "Blue Line" light rail stations, including but not limited to, the following: build PCC platforms and ramps; install guardrails/handrails along platforms and ramps; install fencing between tracks; build curb with railing end treatment; clean surfaces before and after installation; modify or relocate impact facilities, furniture, signage, and equipment, adjust shelters for clearance where needed; replace and install braille signage; add crossing pavement markings and signs; modify and test signal systems and equipment; install door indicator tiles; and site clean-up and finishing work as indicated on the Plans and specified in the Contract Documents. Additive Alternates: There are 5 additive alternates that collectively include a mix of civil and signaling work at 22 "Gold Line" light rail stations that includes some or all of the elements identified for the Base Bid items. In addition to the work elements included in the Base Bid, the Station Civil work for the Additive Alternate Nos. 3 and 4 includes construction of the maintenance access roads at Power Inn and College Greens.
