Site work for a water / sewer project in Sacramento, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water pump station.
Inspection, testing and rehabilitation are essential to maintaining the water transmitting capabilities of the pressure relief wells (wells) and to ensure that they are functioning as designed during high river stage events. All field inspection, testing, and rehabilitation work shall be performed by a California-licensed C-57 Well Contractor and in accordance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Engineer Manual 1110-2-1914 dated March 7, 2025 and City Standards. Analytical evaluation and final reporting shall be performed under the responsible charge of a California-licensed Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) experienced in well performance testing. If the Specific Capacity Ratio (SCR) is found to be under 80 percent, rehabilitation is then performed at the underperforming well, followed by a pump test to verify improved efficiency. A total of 66 wells are included in this project: Pioneer Reservoir - six (6) wells installed in 2006, North Beach Lake - fifty (50) wells installed in 2005, Sump 132 - ten (10) wells installed in 2004. The purpose of this project is to evaluate the condition and performance of existing relief wells, determine their Specific Capacity Ratio (SCR), and restore functionality for wells operating at less than 80 percent of original performance.
