For construction of the hwd project 25-3 north hill water main replacement. The scope of work includes the construction of approximately 7,790 lf of 8-inch and smaller di water main including new fittings, valves, hydrants, services, and other water-related appurtenances. Work shall also include, but is not limited to: mobilization, temporary erosion and sedimentation control (tesc), construction surveying, temporary traffic control, connection to the existing water system, saw cutting, hma trench patch, planning bituminous pavement, hma overlay, existing pipe abandonment and surface resto-ration. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a postal money order, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. The bid deposit shall be given as guarantee that the bidder shall execute the contract, if it be awarded to such bidder, in conformity with the contract documents and that the bidder shall provide surety bond or bonds as specified therein within ten (10) calendar days after notification of the award of the contract to the bidder. Should the success-ful bidder fail to enter into such contract within the time stated in the specifications, the bid depos-it shall be forfeited to highline water district. Highline water district reserves the right to reject any and all bids and will accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the district. The district also reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding and to delay the award of the bid for a period up to sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening.
