The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), on behalf of the MetroWest Regional Services Consortium representing Ashland, Hopkinton, Millis, Natick, Needham, Sherborn, Southborough, and Wellesley, is inviting bids for public works services--specifically, Item 16 Tree Services--to be provided to the participating member municipalities through December 31, 2026, with the possibility of two 1-year extensions. Bidders must be prequalified by MassDOT in the specific class of work with a single contract limit at or above the dollar value of the projects or be on a waiver contractor bid list as of the day of the bid. Contractors not prequalified for the total prequalification contract value but who meet the single year waiver threshold (+50% of year 1 prequalification value) may submit a waiver request at least two weeks before the bid opening. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Laws apply to all services. Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, and Labor & Materials Payment Bonds are required. MAPC will identify the responsible and responsive low bidders and make recommendations of award. Individual contracts will be executed between each municipality and the low bidder. The participating municipalities reserve the right to accept or reject such recommendations and to award contracts as deemed in their best interest. MAPC and the Consortium reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids or portions thereof, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to recommend awards as appear in the best interest of the Consortium and its members. a.
