construction of the Stillwagon Road Water Improvements (Trumbull County Project No. 1-W-19), The base bid includes all work necessary to provide a complete operational water main. The proposed work includes approximately 570 linear feet of 2" HDPE C901 water main, 455 linear of 8"PVC C-900 water main, 3,992 linear feet of 8" HDPE DR9 water main, one (1) 2" Gate Valve, nine (9) 8" Gate Valves, one (1) 8" Inserting Valve, one (1) 2" Blow-off Valve Assembly, seven (7) Fire Hydrant Assemblies, installation of 35 waterservices, Pressure Reducing Valve & Valve Vault, and all backfilling and restoration (including roadway and drive restoration) required to complete the work. Said project shall also include other miscellaneous items. These items are a partial listing of quantities contained in the Bid, therefore, Bidders should review Bid forms for a complete itemization of all quantities of work. The total project cost for the work has been estimated to be $1,353,847.00. Each Bidder must furnish a Bid Bond, signed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, in the sum of 100 percent of the amount bid, or a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit, revocable only by Trumbull County, equal to 10 percent of the amount bid. Such Bond or check is a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance of it properly secured by a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract, (unless a 153.571 bond is provided with the bid), in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. As Owner of the project, Trumbull County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in Bids received, to increase, decrease or omit any Item in the Contract Documents, and to accept the lowest and best bid. A Contract shall be awarded to the lowest and best Bidder as soon as practical after Bid opening, subject to the reservation of the preceding paragraph. The successful Bidder must enter into a Contract with Trumbull County within 10 days after receipt of the formal Notice of Award. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the time of opening bids. The project includes funding from the Ohio EPA Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA). Davis Bacon Wage Rates apply. Liquidated damages at $500/calendar day shall apply after the Substantial Completion date. Restoration and Ready for Final Payment shall be fifteen (15) days after the date Substantial Completion was scheduled or adjusted by Change Order, or earlier if actual date. Liquidated damages after Restoration and Ready for Final Payment Date of $1,000/day shall apply. Liquidated damages are cumulative if damages from Substantial Completion and Ready for Final Payment overlap. Substantial Completion by 60 days from Notice To Proceed. Restoration and Ready for Final Payment - 15 days from date of Substantial Completion.
