Questions Due Date: Dec 11th 2025, 2:00 PM EST The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide construction services for the Forsyth County - South Storage Tank Improvements. The major components include: draining the storage tank into the drainage ditch beside Old Atlanta Road using the detention pond as a sump; cleaning biological growth, graffiti, oil, and dirt off the exterior walls and dome of the tank, including probes and emergency overflow openings; replacing and calibrating the liquid level indicator board and mechanism; adding a step below the exterior ladder (which can be reinforced concrete) to shorten the distance from the ground to the first step; installing an aluminum gate at the top of the exterior ladder that is self-closing as required by OSHA; cleaning and recoating the exterior access hatch and domed fiberglass vent covers; replacing corroded hardware on the lightning protection equipment for the SCADA antennae; providing a new interior ladder with safety fall protection; cleaning and coating the interior 12" overflow piping; cleaning and rehabilitating the interior concrete dome where rebar is oxidized and showing through; and cleaning and disinfecting the storage tank system before returning it to service. Bids must be submitted digitally through the Forsyth County procurement portal.
