Renovation of a transportation facility in Concord, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade transportation facility.

The work consists of the installation of accessible door operators for the Central Contra Costa Transit Authority. Bids must be submitted on the specified "Bid Form" in a sealed envelope clearly marked "ACCESSIBLE DOOR OPERATOR INSTALLATION." Bidders must submit one original and one copy of their bid. All bids must be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, or a bidder's bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price. Bidders must hold a valid State of California Contractor's License, Type B or C-28, as well as ensure all subcontractors are properly licensed. Public works requirements apply; prevailing wage rates as established by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations must be adhered to. Bidders are urged to obtain Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation, though there is no specific SBE contract goal. Payment bond is required if civil work exceeds $25,000. Only contractors and subcontractors registered with the Department of Industrial Relations at the time of bid and contract award may participate. County Connection reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding procedure. Unless otherwise stated in the specifications, County Connection shall perform all required inspections. All work is subject to inspection and approval of the Project Manager or their designee. The Contractor shall notify the Project Manager at least one (1) working day before inspection is required. The Project Manager shall at all times have access to the work during its construction at shops and yards as well as the project site. The Contractor shall provide every reasonable facility for ascertaining that the materials and workmanship are in accordance with the Contract Documents. Inspection of the work shall not relieve the Contractor of the obligation to fulfill all conditions of the contract. Inspections will occur Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
