Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Concord, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 400-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.

The project consists of partial demolition of an existing structure and renovation and reconfiguration of an approximately 400 square feet dance studio waiting room and bathroom. The work includes but is not limited to mobilization, preparatory work, securing the work area for public safety, and site cleanup daily; stormwater pollution protection, hazardous materials abatement, earthwork, concrete, framing, insulation, doors, architectural glass, hardware, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, painting; and all other work shown on the Plans and as specified in the Project Manual and all other work as specified in these Special Conditions, Technical Provisions, and as shown on the Plans. The Bid Form must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that within ten days after City issues the Notice of Potential Award, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, and any other submittals required by the Contract Documents and as specified in the Notice of Potential Award. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents. Engineer's Estimate: $305,000. The Project must be fully completed within 75 working days (weekends and holidays excluded) from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin in February 2026 but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. The Project must be completed prior to the start of Summer programming on June 8, 2026. It is expressly understood that if Final Completion is not achieved within the Contract Time, City will suffer damages from the delay that are difficult to determine and accurately specify. City will charge the Contractor $1,600 for each calendar day that Final Completion is delayed beyond the Contract Time. Question Deadline 11/21/2025 at 2:00 PM PT
