Renovation of a medical facility in Graham, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade medical facility.
As of January 2 2026, Project was awarded to BBC Construction but awarded amount is not available. Graham Hospital District is requesting Bids for the construction and renovation work associated with the MRI Upgrade/Installation (GE Artist EVO 1.5T) and the R/F Room Upgrade/Installation (GE Discovery 180) at Graham Regional Medical Center, located at 1301 Montgomery Road, Graham, Texas 76450. Bids must include the name, address, and phone number of the company or person to provide services; amount of bid broken down by MRI Project, R/F Project, and total combined bid; and proposed timeline for completion. Bidding Documents with full information as to the proposed work may be obtained by sending an email to the provided address. Interested bidders that wish to view the proposed project prior to submitting a bid may set up a time to inspect the proposed work by contacting the provided email. Graham Regional Medical Center (GRMC) is requesting competitive sealed bids for a general contractor to provide a combined bid package for two imaging department construction projects under a single contractor award: 1. R/F Room Upgrade - GE Discovery 180 2. MRI Installation - GE Artist EVO 1.5T Contractors must provide turn-key proposals, including all labor, materials, equipment, demolition, construction, electrical, finishes, permits, inspections, and full coordination with OEM representatives. PROJECT 1 - R/F ROOM UPGRADE (GE Discovery 180) 1. Electrical Requirements o All electrical work must follow OEM specifications and recommendations. o Contractor responsibilities include: o Running all required power circuits o Line conditioning (if required by OEM) o New receptacles, breakers, disconnects, grounding, and conduit per OEM plans o Coordination with GRMC Facilities and GE installation team o OEM electrical plans will be provided to the awarded contractor. 2. Cabinet Installation o Install new built-in cabinet(s), approx. 60" x 80", for storage of room supplies. o Alternative standard cabinet sizes may be proposed if comparable in function. o Provide shop drawings for GRMC approval prior to fabrication. o Cabinets to be constructed from clinical-grade materials (laminate, solid-surface, or approved equivalent). o Replace existing handwashing sink and vanity with similar size/style to meet infection-control standards. 3. Flooring o Remove and replace existing flooring approximately 15'x 18' o Provide and install healthcare-grade flooring suitable for: o Stretchers o Wheelchairs o Rolling imaging equipment o Flooring must meet infection-control standards, include cove base, and be nonslip. 3 o Finished floor must meet OEM floor-levelness tolerances for proper equipment installation. 4. Painting o Prep and paint all walls. o Use hospital-grade, low-VOC coatings. o Paint color to be selected by GRMC. 5. Construction / Remodeling o Minor drywall or patch repairs as needed. o Removal of old equipment (if applicable) to be coordinated with GE and GRMC. o Protect existing hospital areas from dust, debris, and construction traffic. PROJECT 2 - MRI INSTALLATION (GE Artist EVO 1.5T) 1. Electrical Requirements o All work must comply with GE MRI OEM electrical specifications, including: o Power distribution o Dedicated MRI electrical panel(s) o Disconnects, grounding, and conduit o RF shielding grounding requirements o Contractor must coordinate with GE field engineers and installation team. o OEM electrical requirements will be supplied. 2. HVAC / CHILLER REQUIREMENTS o Contractor must evaluate existing mechanical/ HVAC capacity to ensure compliance with GE requirements. o Provide labor and materials for: o Required chiller connection (if needed by OEM) o Dedicated cooling lines o Ventilation or exhaust modifications o Supplemental HVAC capacity to maintain MRI and control room environmental specs o All mechanical work must meet GE environmental tolerances (temperature, humidity, air exchange, etc.). 3. Ceiling Modifications o Existing drop ceiling must be raised approximately 2.5 inches to meet OEM clearance. 4 o Includes: o Adjusting or replacing grid system o Installing new ceiling tiles (hospital-grade) o Adjustments to lighting, sprinkler heads, smoke detectors, and HVAC registers o All work must meet code and fire-marshal requirements. 4. Flooring o Install MRI-safe healthcare-grade flooring approximately 12'x 26' o Flooring adhesive must be non-ferrous, low-odor, MRI-approved. o Cove base included. 5. Painting o Prep and paint all walls in the MRI scan room and control room. o Use hospital-approved low-VOC paint. o Final color selection by GRMC. 6. Cabinetry o Remove existing cabinets, approximately 24 linear feet of floor-to-ceiling cabinetry o Replace with new cabinets of similar size and style suitable for an MRI environment (non-magnetic materials required). 7. Construction / Remodeling o Any drywall, wall framing, patching, or minor structural adjustments needed for installation. o Modify walls and openings as required by OEM equipment-path drawings. o Protection of RF shielding integrity during construction (coordination with GE required). o Windows similar in size and style to the existing exterior windows must be included in the new exterior MRI wall. 8. Exterior Barrier o Provide and install a permanent exterior barrier (fence or approved equivalent) to enclose all locations where the 5-gauss boundary extends into public or uncontrolled areas. Fence layout and signage must be reviewed with GRMC Facilities and meet GE OEM 5-gauss safety guidelines. o Approximately 75 linear feet
