The City of Graham is accepting bids to rehabilitate approximately 36,000 square feet of street surface and overlay an additional 152,000 square feet along certain segments of roadway. The contractor must furnish all materials, machinery, equipment, traffic control devices, fuel, superintendence, insurance, and bonds, and perform all work required for the project. Bids must be in the form of price per square foot or price per square yard. Rehabilitation method is to mill failed areas, mix in Portland Cement at a rate of 25 pounds per square yard and a depth of eight inches, remove spoil as needed, hydrate, and compact. Apply tack oil adhesive to edges of repair and install two inches of compacted Type D Hot Mix. The overlay will consist of applying tack oil and installation of two inches of compacted Type D Hot Mix. Contractors are encouraged to assess each street within this project prior to bidding. Contractors are responsible to denote and account for water valves, manholes, and other infrastructure resident in the roadway segment. The City reserves the right to delete segments from the awarded bid. The City of Graham reserves the right to select the best value bidder based upon the following factors: strength of references, prior satisfactory work for the City of Graham, and competitive pricing of services. The City of Graham reserves the right to make no award under this announcement. Instructions to bidders: Sealed proposals will be received at City Hall at 612 Elm Street, Graham, Texas 76450 until the specified deadline. Proposals may be mailed or hand delivered. Emailed bids will not be accepted. Bidders must provide references, summary of any prior work for the City of Graham, proof of insurance, and warranty information within the bid packet. The bid package envelope must be labeled as specified.
