Responsible for abating and/or remediating lead-based paint in privately owned buildings when authorized by violations and other orders, as well as in City owned buildings under supervision. Intended to result in the award of 1 new contract, valued at not to exceed $2,500,000, for the primary service area Brooklyn CDs 10-12, 14 & Staten Island, to fulfil the needs of the lead abatement program. Prospective bidders must access solicitation documents and submit bids through PASSPort. Bid security must be delivered as instructed in PASSPort. Qualified bidders must have one year's experience performing lead abatement; and two years' experience in carpentry, painting, and plastering, and/or be licensed as an asbestos abatement contractor. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Successful Bidder shall perform Lead Paint Abatement Services in accordance with the specifications therefor and addenda thereto. The Contract will be awarded for the not to exceed total contract price of $2,500,000.00, for a period of two (2) years with the option to renew for an additional term of two (2) years at the sole discretion of the Department.
