Site work and renovation of a civil project in Grosse Ile, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Sealed bids for the replacement of the magnetic flow meter at Grosse Ile Wastewater Treatment plant, Grosse Ile Township, Michigan for the following summary items: o Temporary plug and drain existing 30" sewer line during construction. Contractor shall hire a Scuba Diver in order to plug the sewer outlet under the Detroit River. Removal of the plug after construction is completed; o Removal of existing 28" magnetic flow meter inside manhole located outside the WWTP Building; o Installation of new 28-inch magnetic flow meter that will replace the removed one. Flowmeter purchased by others; o Removal of the existing cable from existing manhole to the WWTP Building; o Installation of 180 lft of new cable from proposed meter located inside manhole to the WWTP Building. Cable purchased by others; o Removal of existing flow converter inside the building and replacement with new flow converter all mounted inside the building. Flow converter is purchased by others; o If necessary, replace the two (2) Steel connections to the existing flowmeter; o If necessary, replace approximately 250 Sft of 4" walk; o Electrical and Mechanical Permits - Reimbursable at Cost; Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or money order, executed by the Bidder and Surety firm, licensed to perform business in the State of Michigan, and payable to the Township of Grosse Ile in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the accompanying bid. Proposal guarantee shall provide assurance the Bidder will, upon acceptance of the bid, execute the necessary Contract with the Township of Grosse Ile. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish separate Performance, Labor and Material, and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Proposals submitted after the exact time specified for receipt shall not be considered, and proposals submitted by telephone, facsimile, or e-mail shall not be accepted. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids in its sole discretion, in whole or in part, for any reason or for no reason at all, to waive any informality/technicality in bids received, and to award the contract to any bidder, when such waiver is deemed to best serve the interest of the OWNER. A contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder as determined by the OWNER. Requests for clarification and/or interpretation of the bid documents from prospective bidders shall be addressed in writing (letter or e-mail) to CERCO for review and the appropriate response no less than three business (3) days prior to the Bid Deadline.
