The food complex has one (1) 600 gallon hot water tank that was installed at the construction of the building in 2003 and continuously used since. The equipment shows signs of advanced wear and the CEGEP wishes to remove it and replace it with a more effective solution. For reasons of accessibility, the current tank will need to be cut/stripped in order to remove it from the place where it is located. The concept developed consists of the installation of 5 new tanks of 120 gallons each which meet the standards in force. The objective is to minimize the service interruption required to switch between old and new equipment. This interruption can be planned during the break week, between February 28, 2026 and March 8, 2026. The design prioritizes the installation of 2 out of 5 new tanks that must be operational by March 8, 2026, in order to respond to the resumption of teaching courses. The remaining work, for their part, must be completed by March 20, 2026, at the latest. Significant plumbing work needs to be done and full commissioning will be completed before the system is handed over. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
