Renovation of a municipal facility in Lancaster, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
**As of January 09, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The contractor shall remove and dispose of all existing glued-down carpet throughout designated areas of the facility, including office spaces, main areas, and hallways. Floors shall be properly prepared prior to installation of new carpet tile, which will be selected by the buyer. Additional tasks include: Installing transition strips at doorways, where applicable Installing cove base or cutting carpet to meet existing baseboards, consistent with current building finishes Replacing existing stair runners with commercial-grade, professionally bound runners that match or coordinate with the new carpet tile Moving large furniture items as needed (unless otherwise agreed during walkthrough); customers will move small furniture and personal items Maintaining a clean worksite and restoring all areas to broom-clean condition upon completion. All work must meet industry standards and comply with applicable safety and building codes. Lancaster County seeks a qualified, licensed contractor to remove and install commercialgrade low pile carpet tiles at the Sheriff's Office Complex (Main and Investigations Buildings). Work includes removal and disposal of glued-down carpet using the contractor's own equipment and dumpster, floor preparation, installation of carpet tiles, transition strips, cove base, and stair runners. Contractor must: o Have at least 3 years of experience and provide references. o Carry required insurance and comply with OSHA, building codes, and manufacturer guidelines. o Prepare subfloors properly and use low-VOC adhesives. o Move large furniture (with County staff handling small items) and coordinate to allow staff to continue working during renovation. o Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness throughout the project. Proposals must include qualifications, references, project approach, timeline, cost, and warranty.
