The project includes the replacement of the existing basketball court, fencing, basketball hoops, installation of a 3-color sports court coating system, installation of sidewalks within the park, removal of existing paths, benches and concrete pads/curbs. The base bid covers installation of underdrains and stormwater collection pipe in the playground area. An alternate bid will involve replacing the existing curbs (concrete, stone and blue stone) and concrete sidewalk with new concrete curbs and sidewalks. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents and enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project name and the bidder's information. Bid security of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, not to exceed $20,000, is required. A Certificate from a Surety Company is required. Bidders are required to be registered with the NJ Department of Labor for public works, and with the NJ Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. Bidders must comply with all statutory requirements referenced in the Contract Documents, including Affirmative Action, Prevailing Wage, Americans with Disabilities Act, and "Pay to Play" regulations. Vendors currently suspended, debarred, or disqualified are excluded from participation. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive defects if not detrimental to the interest of the Town and the fairness of the process.
