Site work for a medical facility in Stony Brook, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade medical facility.
The work includes performing, installing, furnishing, and supplying all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number 24465, titled Install Redundant Interior Water Main. The main features include providing the East Campus Health Science Center (HSC) water main header with new electronic actuation valves to replace existing, broken, and inoperable valves, as well as assisting Maintenance Staff in future valve operation. A new by-pass is included to enable work on the system while maintaining water to the facilities at all times, simplifying future repairs and eliminating challenges with the current system. Bids must be submitted in triplicate on forms provided by the Hospital, in a sealed envelope, with required identification. A mandatory site visit and bidders conference must be attended by interested Prime contractors, who must RSVP their attendance. All bidders’ questions must be submitted in writing, citing relevant IFB details. Bid security of not less than five percent of the total bid is required. Subcontractors and suppliers are recommended to attend the conference but are not required; they may request the sign-in sheet after the conference. Bidding documents will only be provided electronically upon written request to the designated contact.
