Drainage Repairs Question Cut Off Date 12/10/2025 02:00:00 PM (CT) Questions and inquiries about this bid should be submitted in writing via the Q&A feature available online The City of College Station invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the removal and replacement of one 18" inside diameter RCP drainage pipe on Graham Rd and one 18" RCP at 600 Ivy Cove. Project Scope of Work: The contractor shall perform all tasks necessary for the successful completion of the RCP & HDPE pipe replacements, including but not limited to: 1. Site Preparation and Mobilization: o Obtain necessary permits, including environmental and traffic control permits. o Mobilize equipment and materials to the site. o Set up safety and traffic management plans to minimize disruptions to traffic and ensure worker safety. 2. RCP & HDPE Pipe Installation: o Supply and install new RCP & HDPE pipe. Refer to Project Overview for specific pipe quantity, size and material. [specify material type, e.g., coated corrugated steel, HDPE, RCP, etc.], sized to accommodate the expected water flow and meet hydraulic design specifications. o Ensure proper alignment and slope of the pipe to ensure efficient water flow. o Properly compact the material around the pipe to avoid settling and provide long-term structural integrity. 3. Excavation and Removal of Existing RCP : o Excavate the area surrounding the pipe and remove the existing pipe, including any associated structures (e.g., headwalls or wing walls). Properly dispose of the removed pipe and debris in accordance with environmental and waste disposal regulations. o Divert water flow, as required, to prevent flooding during excavation and installation. 4. Road Restoration: o Reconstruct the road surface above the installed RCP at Graham rd. to restore traffic flow. The surface should match the existing road materials o All work and materials must meet the Bryan/College Station Unified Technical Specifications found at: https://www.bcsunited.net/ o Monitor the surrounding environment for any potential ecological impacts during and after construction. 5. Final Inspection and Testing: o Conduct a post-installation inspection to ensure that the pipe is functioning as designed. o Perform hydraulic testing to ensure proper water flow and verify that the pipe meets design specifications. o Address any issues or deficiencies identified during the inspection process.
