Reference Number 0000308574 SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan. SaskPower is working on reinforcement and expansion of its Northern Transmission System to facilitate the development of new and expanded mining operations in Saskatchewans Far North. This requires the construction of a new switching station (Taylor Bay) and a series Transmission Line modifications for its operation. This new construction will consist of a mixture of Lattice, Y-Guyed, Galvanized Steel, and Self Weathering steel structures. Each worker engaged by the Contractor and any Subcontractor(s) to perform any Work shall have and maintain qualifications appropriate to the specific Work in which they are engaged, and in every respect meet the standards and qualifications specified in this Contract and in all applicable OH&S Laws. SaskPower may verify, or require the Contractor to verify, the qualifications of any individual, whether before or during any Work at the Site, including at any safety orientation, and / or at any time thereafter. SaskPower may inspect any equipment and tools that the Contractor uses, or intends to use to perform any Work, to ensure that they provide the Contractor with the capability to complete the Work in strict accordance with all OH&S Laws and SaskPower's safety-related requirements as detailed in this Safety Specification.
