Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Rensselaer, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The scope of work is the replacement of the South Street Bridge over Mill Creek in the City of Rensselaer, Rensselaer County, New York. The project limits extend from approximately 500 feet south and 250 feet north of the South Street Bridge along South Street, including the intersection with Aiken Avenue and the intersection with Second Avenue. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in the specifications. The main activity is bridge replacement. The successful bidder must follow the NYSDOT Standard Specifications officially finalized and adopted on January 1, 2026, as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation’s website.
