Renovation of a mixed-use development in Rensselaer, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

The Rensselaer City School District is seeking sealed bid proposals to furnish materials and labor for alterations to the Rensselaer PreK–12 School, under Project No. 2024-091. The work will be bid under a single prime contract system covering all trades under one contract for General Construction, in accordance with the plans and specifications provided. Bids must be prepared as outlined in the Information to Bidders and submitted in a sealed envelope displaying the name, address, phone number of the bidder, and the project title. Bidders are required to obtain complete sets of bidding documents, drawings, and specifications from the designated provider and can opt for digital or mailed paper copies with a refundable plan deposit. All bid addenda will be distributed to registered plan holders. Plans and specifications remain the property of the architects and must be returned in good condition within thirty business days after the award or rejection of bids. A pre-bid conference and onsite review of the project areas will be conducted and attendance is highly encouraged for bidders. Each bid must include bid security as specified. Bidders must adhere to the conditions of employment and minimum wage requirements under the contract. Out-of-state bidders must provide certification proving their authority to do business in New York State and complete the relevant forms, including a Non-Collusion Certificate and, if applicable, a corporate resolution. Bids not accompanied by the required certification will not be considered. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or defects in bids. No interpretations of the plans, specifications or other contract documents will be made to any bidder orally. All requests for such interpretations shall submitted in writing to BCA Architects & Engineers (on the attached RFI Form). To be given consideration a request for interpretation the RFI form must be received at least four (4) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Complete sets of Bidding Documents, Drawings and Specifications, may be obtained from REVplans, 28 Church Street; Suite 7, Warwick, New York 10990 Tel: 1-845-651-3845, upon depositing the sum of $100.00 for each combined set of documents. Checks or money orders shall be made payable to BCA Architects & Engineers. Plan deposit is refundable in accordance with the terms in the Instructions to Bidders to all submitting bids. Bidders wishing documents mailed to them shall include, in addition to the document deposit, a non-refundable check of $15.00 per set for handling and postage or a UPS/FedEx account number.
