Location and Description. The Project is located 0.25 miles east of the intersection of Lafayette Street and Walsh Avenue in Santa Clara, CA and is described as follows: The purpose of the proposed SVP project is to extend an existing 60 KV overhead transmission line to provide service to a new substation (Laurelwood Substation). The substation will be designed and constructed by Others and will be located 0.25 miles east of the intersection of Lafayette Street and Walsh Avenue in Santa Clara, CA. The transmission line extension will consist of two new structures to cut into the existing transmission line and drop into the new substation. The new transmission conductor to be installed for the substation spans is bundled 715 kcmil ACCR "Stilt". The conductor of the existing transmission line is bundled 954 kcmil AAC "Magnolia". Work includes the installation of 2 custom tubular steel monopoles supported on drilled concrete piers. Any bid protest against another bidder must be submitted in writing and received by City at 1500 Warburton Avenue, Santa Clara, CA 95050 or sent via email to the City Clerk's Office at Clerk@santaclaraca.gov, with a copy to the Engineer at jvalath@santaclaraca.gov, before 5:00 p.m. no later than four Working Days following the bid opening ("Bid Protest Deadline") and must comply with the following requirements:
