Furnish and install 1,624 lineal feet of 10-inch Ductile Iron water main, 829 lineal feet of 8-inch Ductile Iron water main, 161 lineal feet of 6-inch Ductile Iron water main, 464 lineal feet of 8-inch PVC water main and 1,681 lineal feet of 6-inch PVC water main including appurtenances, and short lengths of various diameter for final tie-ins to existing mains, and all service line connections and hydrant relocations as shown and described in the contract drawings and specifications. All labor, materials, plant, equipment and tools required for the installation of the water mains and appurtenances and other miscellaneous work shall be included. Tunneling shall include all methods by which the underground passageway is first excavated and then lining materials are brought in and placed. Boring and Directional Drilling shall include all methods by which a conduit is pushed or pulled into place. Tunneling, Boring or Directional Drilling may be allowed in lieu of the open trench method with approval of the Engineer. This work consists of furnishing and installing water pipe and fittings for use in the water distribution system. This work consists of furnishing and installing valves, valve assemblies, and valve boxes for use in the water distribution system. This work consists of the filling and flushing, hydrostatic testing, disinfection and bacteriological testing of all new water mains and appurtenances. This work consists of the replacement of gravel surfacing, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete, topsoil, trees and shrubs, and other surfaces disturbed or displaced during the construction of the water facilities. This work consists of the construction and installation of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System for all new pump stations and reservoirs.
