The City of Pflugerville is soliciting qualifications from firms or multidisciplinary teams to support the design and construction of Destination Playspace, a unique and innovative park funded by the 2020 Parks Bond, featuring an all-abilities playground supported by amenities such as parking, a restroom, and connections to existing trails. The intent of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to assess the technical expertise and relevant experience of a firm or team to support the City in the planning, design and construction of this park project. Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) should demonstrate strength in civil engineering (across all applicable disciplines), architecture, landscape architecture, park planning, design, utility coordination, and construction administration. The City of Pflugerville will evaluate submissions to identify the most technically qualified firm or team best suited to meet the specific needs of the project. A committee consisting of City of Pflugerville staff will rate the SOQs using the evaluation criteria developed for this Project. Said evaluation criteria are attached to this RFQ. The selection committee may interview one or more firms to further evaluate qualifications. The selection committee will present their recommendations to the City Council for the recommendation of award of the Professional Services Agreement. If a successful negotiation with the top selected firm fails to be achieved, the process and negotiation phase will continue with the next highest evaluated firms until an acceptable agreement is reached.
