The Work of this Contract generally includes, but is not limited to, upgrades to the Leland Road Treatment Facility and Wellfield, including a 41'-4" by 29'-4" double wythe masonry building for the Leland Road Water Treatment Facility (WTF) with three (3) GreensandPlus filtration vessels for iron and manganese removal, a below grade spent backwash tank, backwash supply tank, and pipe gallery. Building components including HVAC, plumbing, SCADA, and electrical. Other upgrades include installation of a sodium hypochlorite disinfection system in the existing WTF building on site, and new submersible well pumps and motors. Site work include installation of 8-inch ductile iron water main and associated valves, hydrants, fittings, and appurtenances, approximately 187 feet of 24-inch diameter D.I. water main for 4-log virus inactivation, relocation of propane tanks and associated piping, electrical, grading, chain link fence, gravel driveway, stormwater controls, erosion controls, and miscellaneous site work. All work shall be completed within 510 consecutive calendar days of the date fixed in the Notice to Proceed. Sub Bid Category Masonry; Misc. & Orn. Iron; Waterproofing, Dampproofing, & Caulking; Painting; Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning; & Electrical. Each bid and sub-bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, will be required. Massachusetts Minimum Wage Rates as well as Federal Minimum Wage Rates apply to this project.
