Renovation of a water / sewer project in Canton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Installation of a gravel-packed well (Well No. 17) and appurtenances at a location approximately 15-feet south of existing generator building and decommissioning existing Well No. 14 at the Pecunit Water Treatment Facility on Charles Drive, in accordance with Mass DEP guidelines. Installation of Replacement Well No. 17 Pecunit Street Water Treatment Facility., Location- 19 Pecunit Street Canton, MA The work of this Contract is located in the Town of Canton, Massachusetts at the approximate location of Well No. 14, off Charles Drive. In order to register as a plan holder you must download the bid specs off the Town of Canton online. Only plan holders who register will receive addenda. Q/A:- To receive consideration, such questions shall be submitted via email to Peter Newton at (pgn@h2olsonengineering.com) on or before December 12, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Local Time The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: 1. Furnish erosion control mats suitable in size and bearing capacity for the equipment to be used in an environmentally sensitive area and appropriate for the conditions expected to be encountered for the duration of the work period. 2. Drill, install, develop and test one (1) 24-inch by 18-inch (24" x 18") gravelpacked water well to a depth of approximately 60-feet below grade at the location specified by the Engineer. 3. Complete well with a pitless adapter to be furnished under this Contract. 4. Furnish and install sufficient gravel pack material per Section 02671 to maintain a minimum of 10-foot pack above the well screen. 5. Perform a minimum of 40-hours of well development time to ensure well water is substantially free of fine-grained sediment. 6. Furnish and install all temporary pumping equipment necessary for the performance and monitoring of a 48-hour water quality pumping test. 7. Collect samples required for MassDEP approval in accordance with Section 02671 8. Dispose of excess material from excavation not required for fill or backfill at the expense of the Contractor, and to the satisfaction of the Owner. 9. Decommissioning of existing Well No. 14 in accordance with Section 02680.
