Site work for an educational facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade educational facility.

The Toronto District School Board is soliciting submissions for professional services to provide prequalification services on an as-needed basis for facility renewal projects. The intent is to select firms to provide geotechnical professional services for individual projects, based on the project scope. Services generally include, but are not limited to: • Determining the thickness and condition of existing pavement areas, including modulus of resilience, density, moisture content, and maximum permissible bearing capacity of site sub-soils as specified in site requirements. • Determining elevation of groundwater table and construction dewatering requirements. • Providing options and recommendations for the most cost-effective restoration solutions related to the design and construction of paved asphalt parking lots and driveways, play surfaces, artificial turf fields, drainage systems, foundations, or footings as identified in site-specific requirements. • Determining Ministry of Environment classification of existing site soils and groundwater quality for re-use, disposal purposes, and informing disposal methods. • Conducting environmental analysis, including hydrogeological study and percolation rate testing as site-specific requirements dictate. • Preparing reports that address all site-specific requirements, findings, and results of investigations and analyses. • Securing and paying all required fees to conduct geotechnical investigations. • Restoring sites to original state upon work completion. • Ensuring that excess soils from drilling are not left at schools and handling any excess soils in accordance with applicable regulations. • Providing material testing and inspection services during construction. • Hiring, coordinating, and overseeing sub-consultants and subcontractors as required. Responses are requested only from firms able to perform work on tight timelines and where this type of professional service is within their area of expertise. The Board will not conduct business with suppliers currently engaged in litigation against the Board. Prequalification involves various mandatory requirements and evaluation criteria specified for applicants. Pre-qualification requirements: Firms must demonstrate capacity to perform work on tight timelines and this type of professional service must be within their area of expertise. The Board will not conduct business with any supplier currently engaged in litigation against the Board. Prequalification includes mandatory requirements and evaluation criteria listed in the documentation. .
