Renovation of an industrial development in Schuyler Lake, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6,800-square-foot, one-story above grade industrial development.

Work shall include asbestos testing of shingles, blown insulation and ceiling material, removal and proper disposal of all demolition materials into containers provided by the Contractor. The Contractor will properly dispose of all existing roof materials put into the containers and properly dispose of offsite. Base Bid - Includes all materials, labor, tools, and equipment to replace the existing 6,800 SF asphalt shingle roof in its entirety on the Highway Garage Roof Replacement at the Town of Exeter property, with a Base Bid for a new 50-year, 3-tab asphalt-fiberglass shingle roof system and venting improvements. Alternate No. 1 Bid - Includes all materials, labor, tools, and equipment to replace the existing 6,800 SF shingle roof in its entirety on the Highway Garage Roof Replacement at the Town Highway Garage with a new Standing Seam Metal Roof System and venting improvements in lieu of Asphalt Shingles. The contractor is responsible for supporting and maintaining the existing roof system, ceiling and all utilities and appurtenances within the Highway Garage during the work of replacing the existing roof system. Part of the Bid submittal requires that the bidder describe their proposed method of temporary support and maintenance of the existing roof system, ceiling, utilities and appurtenances. All work shall be completed within 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed in its entirety by July 15, 2026. All bids must be made on the blank form of proposal attached hereto. A bidder may withdraw any proposal submitted prior to the hour set for the closing of the bids provided the request is signed in a manner identical with the proposal being withdrawn. The Owner is exempt from New York State sales taxes on material, supplies, and equipment to be permanently incorporated in the Work. Said taxes shall not be included in the Bid. Prospective bidders who obtain electronic project documents are responsible for contacting Lamont Engineers to register on the project documents distribution list for receiving bidding Addenda and other bidding information. The Town Board of the Town of Exeter reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids without explanation.
