Sealed bids will be received for Sodium Hypochlorite for the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD). The product must meet the specifications: sodium hypochlorite by weight, 11.9%-13.5% or available chlorine by weight 11.0%-13.0%. Vendors are required to provide a Certificate of Analysis of the caustic soda used in manufacturing, specifically reporting mercury levels (detection limit no greater than 1 ppb), lead (DL <5 ppb), cadmium (DL <5 ppb), and chromium (DL <5 ppb). Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond for 5% of the total bid amount, based on a one-year agreement cost, payable to WLSSD. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked as specified. WLSSD reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the bid deemed in its best interest. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days of the closing date.
