The project scope includes replacing 433 lead or galvanized iron water service lines with new HDPE or copper service lines at 432 sites in the Spirit Valley Neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota. Water service replacements may be from the main to the curb stop, from the curb stop to the building, or both. The project includes 7 small-diameter HDPE water main extensions to replace shared lead water service lines. Work will take place in the right of way as well as on private property and within private buildings. Restoration of all public and private property is required, including but not limited to concrete and bituminous surfaces, vegetation and landscaping. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to construct lead water service line replacements as shown in the Plans. The Contractor shall provide an adequate workforce including service replacement crews, restoration crews, plumbers, and subcontractors to complete the Work to make continuous progress and meet the project completion dates.
