Sealed bids for Electric Line Maintenance Tree Trimming Ephrata Borough Bid #25-7 will be received by the Borough of Ephrata. In general, the work shall be performed by bidders qualified to competently and efficiently perform maintenance work along Borough electric facilities, trimming or removing all trees, brush, and vines designated by the Borough which interfere with existing electric distribution lines. A Fee Schedule for Storm, Emergency, and Non-Contract Work must also be included. All work must conform with current guidelines established in NESC 218, ANSI A-300 and follow the practice of directional trimming. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the required form, certified check, letter of credit, or other security acceptable to the Borough of Ephrata in the amount of 10% of the bidder's total amount of their base bid. The Contractor shall ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, age, religion, sex, or national origin. This contract is subject to the Federal Occupational Safety & Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions, PA Act 127 (Public Works Employment Verification), and Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 conditions. Contractors must submit verification forms to acknowledge compliance with the Federal law concerning the use of the E-Verify Program. Providing verification is a precondition of the award of the contract. In addition, prior to commencing work on the project, the Contractor shall submit all subcontractor verification forms. The Borough of Ephrata reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the Bid or the Bid procedure; and to award any Bid which it may deem to be in the best interests of the Borough of Ephrata.
