Spokane Colleges and Bouten Construction Company are soliciting bids from suppliers and subcontractors to furnish and/or perform work at the Spokane Community College Main Building, East Wing Renovation Project. Bouten Construction Company will enter into contracts with all subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors involved in this project, and will serve as General Contractor / Construction Manager for the project. The scope includes an Architectural Surge Space/Building 16 under Bid Package BP-01. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that sealed proposals are received at the bid opening location by the deadline. The Bid Package number and description must appear on the outside of the sealed envelope. Faxed, electronic (email), or verbal proposals will not be accepted. Sealed bids must be hand delivered. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the bid opening, unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding 90 calendar days. Late bids will not be considered. Failure to submit proposals in accordance with the stated procedures may result in non-responsiveness. Successful bidders will subcontract directly with Bouten Construction Company using the provided Subcontract Agreement. A bid guaranty must be submitted with the bid for all amounts equal to or greater than $300,000. Acceptable guarantees include a surety company bid bond, standard AIA bid bond form, cashier's check, or certified check, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. Failure to provide an acceptable bid guarantee will render the bid non-responsive. All subcontractors must provide separate payment and performance bonds for 100% of the contract sum, including all change orders, for amounts equal to or greater than $300,000, with the cost included in the bid. The successful subcontractor must supply these bonds within three business days of request. Inability to supply bonds may result in rejection of the bid. Questions during the bid period must be emailed to the designated contact. All questions and answers will be published in addenda. A mandatory pre-bid walk will be held at the project site.
