Site work for a water / sewer project in Seymour, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Water line replacements along Morris, Bantau, Clements, and McClain Streets as well as Stadium Drive. The Owner will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder or to the bidder who provides goods or services at the best value for the Owner; this may include multiple awards from one solicitation. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available at Jacob & Martin, LLC, and must be purchased to be considered a registered plan holder eligible to bid. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Seymour or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project is financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Agriculture under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. The federally determined prevailing wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the grant recipient's Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts and subcontracts. The contract must comply with Buy America Build America (BABA) requirements. The City of Seymour reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for a period not exceeding 60 days from the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating bidder qualifications prior to contract award. The lobbying certification must be submitted with the bid packet to be considered complete and responsive. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and Historically Underutilized Business firms are encouraged to submit bids.
