Site work and new construction of a civil project in Gakona, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Work includes abandoning the existing raw water intake, constructing a new screened raw water intake within the riverbed, and piping to a new clear well with a flushing vault and maintenance pump. Install a new pump in the clear well, a flow control valve in the Water Treatment Plant, and a raw water transmission line from the clear well to the existing intake vault. Construct a new building over the existing intake vault and install piping, pumps, and appurtenances to connect the new infrastructure to the existing raw water transmission line/Water Treatment Plant. Place rip rap along the riverbank. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, services, testing, and incidentals to complete all work as required by the specifications and drawings, and must have experience with raw water intake systems.
