The intent of this quote is to establish a term contract for annual window washing for the City and Borough of Juneau (City or CBJ), Parks and Recreation Department, Building Maintenance Division (PRBM). This contract may be used by other CBJ Departments on an as needed basis. Contract will provide all labor, materials and equipment to perform window washing services as required. Quality of Work: Windows will be washed clean and free of steaks, smears and visible soap residue. Accumulated dirt, paint specs, or other foreign debris must be scraped from windows. Frames will be scrubbed to remove all dried dirt, insects, debris and other materials. Windowsills will be washed clean and all drippings wiped dry. Contractor Supplies and Equipment: Contractor's equipment will be in conformance to all applicable OSHA regulations. Contractor will provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all products used on site upon request. Contractor must furnish all supplies and equipment to perform window washing services as specified. Contractor will utilize proper tools and equipment for performing services at all times. Overhead Work: Window washers will close off area(s) and post signs indicating the area(s) are closed to pedestrian traffic when working over entrances, traveled walkways or any area where people might cross below workers. Signs will indicate overhead work is being performed. All equipment, apparatus and rope coils on the ground level will be marked off with cones and signs warning pedestrian traffic. Contractor will provide all necessary safety materials, including cones and signs. Inside Work: Contractor will allow occupants every opportunity to clear window areas prior to washing. Any items moved away from windows by Contractor must be returned to their original location. All water and cleaning solution drippings will be thoroughly removed and wiped dry before returning items to their original locations. Stepladders and equipment will be kept with the Contractor at all times. Work will be done in a manner to cause minimal disruption to occupants and preserve safe working and walking conditions. Work will be done in a manner that does not compromise occupants work security. Damage: Any damage to windows, building, occupant's furniture, equipment, items or papers will be reported immediately to the contract administrator. Contractor will notify the contract administrator of any existing deterioration or damage in windowsills or frames. Contractor must spot test cleaning products as a damage prevention measure. Question Deadline 12/15/2025 Submit any questions to purchasing@juneau.gov .No oral interpretations will be made. Submit all questions in writing, noting issuing buyer, solicitation number and title. CBJ reserves the right to determine suitability of services offered. Services provided are subject to approval by CBJ. Any services rejected because of non-conformity to the terms and conditions or specifications of this contract, will be at the Contractor's risk and expense.Contractor will correct any substandard work as requested by CBJ at their expense as soon as possible. Services must be accepted by the Contract Administrator or designee prior to invoice payment.
