Site work and outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field in Hamilton, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.

A certified check or bid bond payable to Franklin County Schools in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance quired in the rebid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding on bid will not be received or considered by the Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed enveope in which the proposal is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. General Description: A. For all projects requiring inspection by the Division of Construction Management, a permit fee will be required and is to be included in the Contractor's Bid and paid to the Division of Construction Management in accordance with Article 44, Paragraph A in DCM Form C-8, "General Conditions of the Construction Contract." See chart entitled "Calculation of DCM Permit Fees" included at the end of this Specification. B. Scheduling of Inspections: 1. The Contractor will be required to contact the Architect by email of the date the project will be ready for an inspection. 2. The Architect will contact the Inspector to schedule the first available date for the inspection. Inspections must be requested 14 days in advance. 3. When the DCM Inspector confirms the inspection time, the Architect will send an email confirming the inspection time and date. The email must be sent to the Contractor, DCM Inspector, Owner, and the DCM main office. 4. Cancellations of any scheduled inspection must be received in writing by email no less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled inspection. The email must be sent to the Contractor, DCM Inspector, Owner, and the DCM main office. 5. If the inspection is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled inspection, the re-inspection fee of $1,500.00 will be charged to the Contractor. C. Minimum Requirements for Required Inspections: 1. Pre-Construction Conference: a) Required Attendees: Contractor, Owner, DCM Inspector, Architect, Major Subcontractors b) Inspection Requirements: (1) Signed construction contract (2) Verification of payment of permit fee (3) Fire Alarm Contractor's Certification (from State Fire Marshal) (4) ADEM permit, if more than 1 acre of land is disturbed 2. Pre-Roofing Conference: a) Required Attendees: Contractor, Owner, DCM Inspector, Architect, Roofing Subcontractor, Roofing Manufacturer's Representative, Sheet Metal Contractor, Roof Deck Manufacturer (if applicable), Roofing Materials Manufacturer (if warranty is required of this manufacturer) b) Inspection Requirements:
