Site work and paving for a road / highway in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City of La Crosse is seeking to select an Engineering Firm to enter into a two-party agreement for a Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) under State/Municipal Agreement. The project is a 2-party agreement with the City to prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for the intersection of Mormon Coulee Rd (USH 14) & Birch Street. Design services are funded 100% by the City. Construction will be funded 90/10 with the State of Wisconsin DOT, as part of the Federal HSIP program. Therefore, design work is subject to all pertinent program requirements. A Firm must understand and be able to meet the requirements of the HSIP program is a critical component of this project and large portion of the selection criteria being evaluated. The goal is to meet the DOT letting date of October 9, 2029. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. "Requests for proposals for design services is underway."
