Operations and safety will also be improved Rehabilitation project of approximately 4.3 miles along USH 53 to reconstruct the pavement from Cass Street to the La Crosse River, replace the pavement from Jackson to Cameron and the La Crosse River to Windsor, and spot improvements from Green Bay to Jackson and Windsor to Livingston. The intersection at La Crosse will be converted to a roundabout and other intersections may be modified. B-32-085 will have partial deck replacement, and B-32-086 and B-32-118 will have minor structure work. Traffic signals and 300 curb ramps will be replaced. A TPP with 250 +/- parcels is anticipated. Significant traffic staging and mitigation strategies and public outreach will be needed. The Department provide the initial environmental document; further environmental coordination and documentation will be required. Coordination with other projects on the La Crosse Corridor (LCC) will be needed. City utilities will be replaced on segments with pavement removal. Building to building construction is scoped for the downtown area. The selected firm or team may include firms/individuals employed by firms that participated on the Corridor Study Team. Firms selected for this solicitation, prime/joint venture (P/JV), may not be selected as a P/JV for corridor continuity or program controls solicitations for the LCC.
