Site work and new construction of an educational facility in New Bern, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Supply and install one 30ftx72ft greenhouse engineered to meet current North Carolina wind zone requirements, with engineer-stamped plans required before construction. Preferred design is an A-frame structure, but other designs are acceptable if they meet or exceed minimum specifications. Delivery of all components must be included in shipping costs. Greenhouse must have 8mm twinwall polycarbonate cover, 44ftx72ft white FLS 50% shade cloth, a ventilation system able to facilitate 1 air exchange per minute using specified fans and equipment, a 200K BTU LP/NAT gas unit heater (preferably ADP SEP200 model) with required accessories, Wadsworth Mini-Step controller or comparable for systems control, two single entry/exit doors, and foundation, water, and electrical installation to be determined jointly by manufacturer and buyer. The company must acquire all building permits, arrange and secure necessary 811 support, and provide proof of liability insurance if selected. Installation must be completed on the assigned site by a specific deadline. Bidders must be current members of the National Greenhouse Manufacturers Association, must be authorized dealers for quoted products, and certify that the bid is not collusive and complies with antitrust laws.
