Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Flesherton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 25,000-square-foot, one-story above grade pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
* Owner does not release the Bid Amount at this time. Project will be updated once Awarded Contractor details are announced. The County of Grey (the County) is planning to build a new, approximately 25,000 square foot "Net Zero Ready" public works depot, including a standalone 17,500 square foot sand-salt storage building located at 405492 Grey Road 4 Ceylon. The work will include earthworks, engineering, mechanical and electrical. The County has adopted the following process for procuring the services: Step 1 - Prequalification of General Contractors Establish a list of prequalified general contractors who are eligible to participate in Step 2 of the process (the "Prequalified General Contractors"). Step 2 - Competitive Procurement Process Invite the Prequalified General Contractors to participate in a formal competitive process for the design build of the public works depot. The County intends to issue a "Request for Proposals ("RFP") for a design build in January 2026 with the project commencing immediately after award which is anticipated in February 2026. The award of the project is subject to approved budget and Council approval. It is the County's intention to fully utilize both the depot and sand-salt building for the 2026-2027 winter season, beginning November 1. Therefore, expediency in scheduling all aspects of project delivery is critical.
