Renovation of a municipal facility in Laredo, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.

Roof Repairs (3015 E Kearney) - Municipal Housing. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals electronically through Cit-E-Bid or via in-person hand delivery. Mailed bids (USPS, FedEx, UPS), telegraphic, email, or facsimile bids will not be considered. TEMPORARY SERVICES Contractor shall provide a portable toilet and trash dumpster/dump truck at the job site prior to starting the project. Failure to provide these services, will result in a change order credit towards the Department of Community Development / Municipal Housing Division. DEMOLITION All items removed shall be properly disposed of, remove from site, and hauled to the City of Laredo landfill on a weekly basis by the contractor. Remove existing roof covering and disposed of tree branches properly. CARPENTRY WOOD: CARPENTRY All wood to be used shall be #2 Southern Pine W.W. or better. Provide and install all new materials and replace all rotted, damaged, or missing, framing, trim, decking and all other materials exposed during construction. New materials shall match existing materials in size, color, design and value. ROOFING: CARPENTRY Provide and install new 1/2 " OSB plywood roof decking throughout the roof, where damaged or missing. Provide and install new soffit, cedar fascia, sub fascia 1" x 2" nailers, and 8"x 16" soffit vents spaced @ 8' o.c throughout the house where damaged or missing. Replace any rotten or damaged trim, studs, rafters, and joists exposed during construction. ROOFING Provide and install new roofing throughout the house. Provide and install a new 30-Year warranty Architectural roof shingles over one (1) layer of synthetic felt membrane. Attach shingles with roofing nails. Staple gun is not allowed. Provide and install new flashing at all valleys and existing plumbing vents. Provide all necessary edging and flashings, for a weatherproof and leak proof roof. Flashing should be a minimum 28 gauge as required by one- and two-family dwelling code. Provide and install new flashing at all valleys and existing plumbing vents. Shingles to match existing color. FINISHES Provide and install caulking throughout fascia and soffit to seal any cracks, holes, or gaps. Prime exterior fascia and soffit wood with two heavy coats. Paint exterior fascia and soffit wood with two heavy coats. All primer and paints shall be first line as mfg. by Sherwin Williams, Pittsburgh Paints. For the exterior wood, use exterior semigloss acrylic latex paint with a 20- year warranty. Paint color to be chosen by Laredo Municipal Housing. SITE WORK Trim trees a minimum of 24" from the roof of the house. Dispose of tree branches properly.
