These Specifications describe the work to be done and materials to be furnished for the construction of the following: 1. The membrane filtration system manufacturer, Aria Filtra, shall provide all goods and services, i.e. labor, materials, equipment, spare parts, incidentals, and appurtenances required to replace the existing membrane filtration system components noted herein and in Aria Filtra's proposal OPP1862317 dated January 9, 2025 (1/9/25). The items include: replacement membrane filtration modules, membrane system sodium hypochlorite feed pumps, various regulators, valves, turbidimeters, and sensors. 2. Replacements of most door's hardware and replacement of 3 doors. 3. Replacement of the existing lighting with new LED lighting. 4. Replacement of much of the existing plant's HVAC equipment. 5. Replacement of the existing high service pumps, sample pumps and some of the chemical transfer and metering pumps. 6. Addition of an aluminum basin cover system over the settling basin and replacement of existing baffles with new aluminum baffles. 7. Replacement of the sodium permanganate storage and feed system and replacement of various other chemical system components. 8. Various other miscellaneous equipment replacements. B. The Work is located at the Campton Water Treatment Plant in Campton, The work to be performed consists of water treatment plant improvements. Bidders are required to furnish all labor and materials and perform all work as outlined in the Advertisement, General Conditions, Specifications, and/or Drawings prepared by Bell Engineering. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the provided conditions. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Campton, Kentucky, in the amount not less than the percent of the base bid indicated in Specification Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders, Bid Security. No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of 90 days after bid opening, except prior to the scheduled opening time. Bids received after the specified time will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Work is subject to minimum wage rates set by the U.S. Department of Labor under the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act and the Kentucky Department of Labor. The contractor must pay whichever minimum wage rate is higher for the individual crafts. Bidders must comply with regulations and acts including the President's Executive Orders on non-discrimination, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours Standard Act, and certify non-segregated facilities. Contractors and subcontractors must comply with affirmative action requirements in 41 CFR 60-4. The project is subject to the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act requirements. Informal or non-compliant bids may be rejected or considered informal at the discretion of the City of Campton. Question Deadline 01/15/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
