Renovation of a residential development in Winnemucca, Nevada. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,418-square-foot residential development.
The project consists of tenant improvement of an existing 1,418 square foot seasonal housing facility. Mechanical work includes refurbishment and reuse of the existing packaged ground-mounted HVAC unit, with new sheet metal ductwork as needed to serve the revised floor plan. Plumbing work includes demolition of the domestic water system and the waste and vent system. The new domestic water system includes service connection to new meter, tank type electric water heater, and distribution to new plumbing fixtures. The new waste and vent system will use the existing vent through roof with distribution to plumbing fixtures. Electrical work includes demolition of the existing service panel, various circuitry, and existing lighting; new work includes new panel, wiring, smokeCO detectors, fire alarm panel, and exit signage and lighting. Other items include 3/8" plywood subfloor overlay, overlay existing ceiling panels with faux ceiling tiles, evaluation and replacement of infrastructure prior to reuse to ensure reliability and warranty, vinyl plank flooring, removal of unused and abandoned materials from crawl space and attic, exterior preparation and painting, furnishing and installing new interior doors, and window replacement (bid alternate). Some work will be self-performed by NDOW, and close coordination will be required for integrated scheduling. All proposals must include a bid bond of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. The successful bidder must, within ten days of award, enter into a contract, and furnish certificates of insurance and necessary bonds. The Owner may award to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, but reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bids for sixty days after opening. Bidders and subcontractors must be qualified per NRS 338.1379 to 338.1382, hold appropriate Nevada contractor licenses, and possess any required local business licenses. All questions shall be received prior to 5:00 P.M. local time on Monday, December 22, 2025 The results of bidding will be reported by the Owner within 30 days of the bid opening, at which time the Owner may award the Contract to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder as so reported; however, said Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding for any reason whatsoever. No bidder shall withdraw his or her bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date of the opening thereof. All bidders and their proposed subcontractors must be qualified pursuant to NRS 338.1379 to 338.1382 to bid on the contract. Additionally, all bidders and their proposed subcontractors must hold a valid license of a class corresponding to the work to be performed as required by the State of Nevada's Contractor's License Law and possess any applicable business licenses in the local jurisdiction of the work
